How did you choose The Bump?

I'm curious, how did you ladies end up on The Bump? Are you members of any other online communities? I checked out a few other sites but for some reason this one just felt good to me.

I don't contribute as much as some on this board but I just have to say that I think you are all the nicest group of gals and I feel lucky to be a member of team June 14

I was on The Knot a little for my wedding then used The Bump for its checklist when I was pregnant with DD and got involved with the boards after DD was born. I actually had no idea there were forums other than this one. I'm so sheltered.

I joined the Knot when I was planning my wedding, and still have a small group of girls from that board in a Facebook group. Then I moved on to the Nest and the Bump. I am close with the girls from my board with my daughter, and am excited to see how this group evolves as we have our babies.

I checked out the BabyCenter boards briefly in the beginning but whoa were there way too many crazies over there!

I'm another person who was on The Knot for my 1.5 year engagement. After I got married, I drifted away from the site, but now that we're expecting baby #1, I'm back on The Bump.

Many years ago, I was on ivillage and am still in fb groups with many of the ladies (6 years later). Ivillage has sort of died...went to baby center, but too many crazies on there...bump seemed like a nice size and pretty normal ladies. Just be aware that it will be normal for some drama to occur at some point with this many hormonal ladies and with everyone having differing opinions. Typical hot topics include immunizations and car seats

I used the knot for my wedding but never bothered with the forum on there. Came over here and really liked having the birth month board, plus being a FTM I had a lot of questions. I go on baby center for articles and such, but never knew they had a forum.

I was on the knot because, at knotties would say, I'm totally BSC and like to look at wedding things even though I don't even have a ring on my finger. The knot makes you register to look at things so I registered and since I was registered I figured switching to TB would be easy.

We were looking for a place to make our own baby website and then noticed all the resources and the community on the bump. Boyfriend apparently used the knot for his previous marriage too...awkward...

I trolled for awhile before jumping in. But I also was What To Expect and from trolling that board, those ladies seem so vicious and judgemental about things. It is a very catty like atmosphere. This board seemed so much more friendly than that one. I haven't even ventured to Baby Center.

I've just been around forever. Started on the Knot (before there was a Nest or Bump) - moved to the Nest when they made that and then here once I got pregnant. I'm active on thebabywearer.com - although that's a pretty specific sort of site - and a number of facebook groups too.

I was on The Knot here and there why planning my wedding. Then moved onto the Nest Baby (as it was called back in the day) and that turned into the Bump. There are way more boards now and people are actually a lot tamer, IMO.

I did What to Expect when You're Expecting with my first and NEVER AGAIN!! I had created a few discussions and commented on others but really started getting active at the end of my pregnancy. Some woman threw a hissy fit. There were a few women who posted a lot and had already given birth and were called the "Queen Bees" (I'm sorry, are the rest of us their subjects?) But this one particular woman named me a troll along with some others. So, looked for others this time around. I used The Knot for my wedding and liked it so I looked into The Bump. You guys are much nicer.

I was on the knot but I for my wedding but I didn't come over here until I was pregnant. When I was ttc I used babycentre a lot but the June birth month ladies weren't my style. So I slid over here and this is way cooler... :-bd

I just googled something about a baby calendar or baby size and something came up on thebump.com and then it suggested I download the app since I was on my phone and I found the board from there!
