Swirling Breastmilk

I have read you are not supposed to shake refridgerated BM but instead gently swirl. Well there is always still a lot of the fatty milk sticking to the sides...any tricks to prevent the sticking or get it unstuck?

Warm it up a little and it will mix better

I hold the bottle under warm water from the sink for a few seconds, then swirl it around. The fatty milk mixes back in no problem.

Not sure exactly...something about breaking it down and losing nutrients or something

Shaking damages the molecular structure of the protective proteins in the milk. They need to retain their original shape to do their job best.
