Happy Friday!

Special T&Ps to those who need them. Sometimes I feel like times around the holidays can be harder on some of us, emotionally. Big welcome to the new mamas here, and GL to those TTCing. Also GL to @bellalou32.

What are your plans for this weekend? Any one traveling for the holidays already? Who needs to do last-minute shopping?

QOTW: What is the plan for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day? If you don't celebrate Christmas, are you doing anything fun on your day off?

@chiwifey, what's on the menu for your Christmas party? Have fun at home - it's a long drive, isn't it? I'm so impressed that you have traveled so much with C already. I loved traveling but still lacking the courage to take M with us...

Today I'm taking M to the play space for one last time before they close until after the New Years. Tomorrow I need to do grocery shopping for Christmas, not looking forward to the crowds but don't have a choice. I also ordered some meat from a local vendor and they will drop-off tomorrow. Besides that, we probably will go out to lunch either Sat or Sunday with M, as that is my only break from cooking every.single.meal.

Should start wrapping Christmas presents as well.

We don't have any special plans except to watch football with FIL and SMIL on Sunday. FIL is clinging to the dream that his Cardinals have a chance of beating the Seahawks in Seattle. Talk about delusional.

One of our neighbors is hosting an informal open house on Sat afternoon and we may stop in.

We celebrate Hanukah , which was over in early December, so I feel completely removed from anything holiday related. We are following what has become our Jewish custom of eating Chinese food and watching basketball with our Israeli friends.

DS is sick so this weekend will probably be lots of napping and recovering from a long week. I just need to pick up a few gift cards and my shopping is done! Oh and wrap it all!

QOTW: Christmas Eve, I'll be working half a day and then we'll head over to my IL's for a traditional Italian fish night. Santa comes at night and gives gifts to the kids and then we exchange gifts. Christmas morning, we'll be up bright and early to do our little Christmas at home. Then we'll make the 2 hour drive to my parents to do celebrate with them. We'll spend the night and drive home the following day.

Well tonight we have to prep stuff for tomorrow. Tomorrow is our first Christmas family event. We are doing an extended family event, we use the room at my Grandpa's nursing home. It's a lot of fun. Also, my nephew is staying at our house. It was so cute he called me and asked if he could sleep over. He is so much in love with Hannah and she loves him too.

Also sometime this weekend I need to make my baking soda dough to make the ornaments I was planning on making ages ago... yikes so much to do!!

Christmas Eve I'm playing my flute in our service, I'm really excited, it's been awhile since I played. Then we are having good friends over after the service to exchange gifts and make homemade eggnog. Christmas Day is at my folks this year. Then Boxing day is at hubby's parents. Then the 27th we go to my mom's side of the family for another Christmas.. Yikes so many parties lol!!!

Tonight we have a holiday party for the new company mh works at, then my bil's 40th bday. (This pg lady is going to be exhausted!) then tomorrow is our neighborhood winter festival with Santa pics finally. Sunday I need to pack and get everything ready to head back home for Christmas.
We will be at my parents for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, with my brother, SIL, and nephew. We will see my extended family and my grandfather one day too. We decided no gifts this year, unless you want to buy for the babies. I'm curious to see how this will go over.

We have the boys' gym class tomorrow and I think we are going to try to take advantage of this crazy warm weather and spend as much time out and about as possible!

DH only gets Wednesday off and we don't have local family, so nothing out of the ordinary here. I suppose we'll just open gifts as the day goes along and then, perhaps, an exciting evening of thank you note writing!! I am the biggest Scrooge. I am SO excited for Christmas to be over.

Hope those of you who are traveling stay safe and warm. And, Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!

We are going to lay low this weekend, avoiding the busy stores at all costs! H has had one dose of antibiotics and is already acting much better so hopefully we'll have a fun time at home.

Christmas Eve is always spent at my grandmother's house. We used to do supper and gifts but with my grandfather's health in recent years, we've been doing lunch instead. Christmas morning will be with my parents and Christmas afternoon with my ILs. We won't do the whole meal/gift exchange with ILs until the Saturday after though.

I am working right through to Monday night. I barely got home in time to even see LO before bed tonight. Ugh. DH is taking LO to my ILs for the weekend tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be bad though and I am terrified they will get in an accident or that they won't get back home here for Christmas. QOTW: baking and wrapping presents and church on the 24th. Morning to ourselves on the 25th and then a turkey dinner with my ILs at our house.
