Baby tracking apps

Hi mamas! I know this was asked a bit ago, but it didn't get very many responses, plus now that we have more mamas with outside babies, hoping someone has more insight!

What are some good baby tracking apps? I am looking to track diapers, feelings and probably sleep as well. What else should I be tracking?

I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed with remembering everything, and I'm thinking that the more and more sleep deprivation kicks in, the harder it will be LOL

TIA :-)

Re: Baby tracking apps

  • Not an app, but we use this book. I like the idea of a book better so it's not dependent on one person's phone/electronic device. Plus, I'm old/old school. https://www.amazon.com/Newborn-Baby-Tracker®-Childcare-Journal/dp/9729375011/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387547854&sr=8-1&keywords=Baby+tracker
  • Loading the player...
  • ibaby - I love it! It has many options fior tracking and you can link it to other phones so more than one person can input info
  • We're using Total Baby. I love it so far. It links to DH's account, times feedings, naps and anything else you want to input. It will also produce reports and find trends in lo's feeding/diaper habits and you can email them out.
  • I use a free one called 'small nest'.
Verrrrrrry basic. But it gives me an idea of her patterns anyway.

  • I'm using Baby Feeding Log. It's free and tracks feedings, diapers and sleep. It also lets you add things manually. So far it's working well for us.

  • I use ibaby feed. It does the job.

  • I use the Similac strong moms baby journal app. He's EBF and supplemented with pumped BM and the app, even though its by a formula company it lets me track feedings at the breast, times and amounts pumped, bottle feedings (but we don't use a bottle yet, we syringe feed for now), sleep, diaper changes and growth. It covers everything I need, an it was free. You can also email a daily log of all the information to print so you hav a hard copy.
    NOPE.
  • DH got one for us called Baby Connect.  We have played around with it a lot, but obviously haven't used it extensively since baby isn't here yet.  It tracks all sorts of things, plus it will sync your account so that you can update it from your phone, and then your DH can update from his phone, and you both see the most up-to-date info.  It also has a web portal so you can access and update from any computer as well.  The app costs money ($5 per device), but they have a free trial that you can try first to make sure you like it.  HTH!

  • I use What to Expect baby. It's basic but logs what you've mentioned. I like it :)
  • I use the MamaBaby app. Liking it so far!

  • Another for baby connect, definitely worth the $5.

  • I use a simple free one called Eat Sleep. Works pretty well because my memory is still pretty shot

Feed baby. I love it! Syncs w/multiple devices. Its free! Tracks feedings, (bottles, breast, and pumping) diapers, growth, sleep, medications, etc. It has reminders to check diapers, feed, etc. Super easy to use and you can add custom notes about each thing.

Edited - accidently posted before I was finished.
  • I used Baby Connect for the first couple of weeks but then once we weren't too concerned about exact numbers of diapers and feeding times I stopped using it. It was definitely a big help the first several days when I was so sleep deprived I literally couldn't remember from one hour to the next what time or even IF I fed my baby!

  • I use the similac app.

  • I email myself throughout the day, though only for this week since we have our one month appt. on Thursday.
  • I use total baby and I love it. I like to track diapers, feeding times, pumping amounts and milk stock. There's no way I can remember all that. I miss my memory!

I second this! You can also export all data to a csv file. Then I create a nice little chart to take to my lactation consultant. She loves it!

  • Total Baby and love it. Used it for DS too. Like that it has growth charts and a timeline in addition to just tracking feedings, diapers, baths, sleep etc. always intend to track my freezer stash with it too but never do.

  • Another one for Baby Connect here. It was worth the $5!

  • Another vote for iBaby here. I just use it to keep track of feedings and diapers, but it also has options for sleep, pumping, baths, mood, meds, activity, appts and a lot of other stuff that I don't have time for
