Since it seems a lot of us are struggling with the 4 month sleep regression. How long has everyone been dealing with it? Any suggestions to get through it?
Our sleep regression has been here for almost a whole month. LO will be 5 months on chrismas and it started right around when she turned four months. Im just getting to the point where I've given up hope that she will ever sleep again. The only solution I have is coffee, and a lot of it. I'm starting to feel crazy. I forget everything. I can't think straight. I'm adveraging maybe two hours of broken sleep a night.
How are other moms dealing with this? Vent it here.
Re: Sleep regression. How long has it been going on?
ETA to answer the rest of your questions...I just take it one day at a time. Coffee is my BFF. I chant "this too shall pass" at various hours of the night.
So far I still have a job, the cat is still alive and I remember to put on clean underwear most days so id say I'm dealing with it pretty well.
3-4 weeks ish. We have a good day here and there. But, dammit! I miss her naps! I used to get stuff done!
So be thankful for the regression...it meant things were pretty easy for just a little while!
And though it seems hard now, these times do pass quickly! GL!
Getting back to sleeping better is LO's Christmas gift for me...I hope!!!!!
The strange thing for us is that her naps have got better. Since 6 weeks she has only had 30 minute naps, but since the regression hit she does at least 2 naps of 1.5 hours a day and sometimes more.
LO also changed what she does during the night wakes. She used to be up for nearly an hour during her one wake, and be quite awake. Now she wakes 3-4 times but is only up for 10-15 minutes until the last wake at 4-5am when she wants to be up for the day.
