I've been high risk this pregnancy and getting monthly ultrasounds to check on the growth of the baby. Every ultrasound so far has measured the baby in the 25th-34th percentile..perfectly a-okay. Last night, we had another one and baby dropped from the 30th percentile to the 9th. The tech said my dr. would get the report in 2 days…but that would mean saturday--but really probably Monday--when I have an appointment.
I know my dr. has clinic on Fridays so isn't normally in the office, but I'm a little hesitant about waiting until Monday to discuss the ultrasound. Since he probably isn't in the office, I don't know that calling would help, but I also don't know if he would even do something if he read the report today.
Can you tell I'm a little unsure of what to do? I'm really really hoping he will call with a plan of action--even just to say it's okay to wait until Monday to see him. We've had cross country family in town this week so I'm hoping I can stay distracted and busy with them. Crazy how it works…I've been a little anxious about every appt and ultrasound and everything turned out fine and the one appointment I'm totally relaxed about is the one that comes back problematic. Anybody have any experience or words of wisdom?
*****UPDATE*****
I called, but the office was entirely closed. go figure! I'm resting in the peace that at the very least a doctor looked at the images & report before releasing us from the hospital last night…and that I don't think they would do anything before ordering another ultrasound and bloodwork first. So at least I was able to talk myself off the crazy ledge. Thanks to DH. Thanks ladies!
