Hahaha, there is a devoted tv channel for that here. It's a show of an actual fire in a fire place. It's exciting when you see the person put a new log on lol

We so have this playing every Christmas. We stop to watch the magical hand whenever it comes on.

We used to watch the Yule log channel on Christmas. When house hunting, a fireplace was on our wish list. Still need a new mantle, but I love it just the same since now I get to do this with my little guy:

I have a gas fireplace but I HATE the little flimsy plastic things people put around the stone hearth to keep kiddos from being injured. So I made my own hearth protector by cutting up an eggshell mattress topper and placing it all around the stone and covered it with fabric that matches the rooms decor. Now if one of my kid bounced off it, it won't hurt at all!!!

However, open flame near felt and foam bedding doesn't mix!!!

So I can't wait to watch a fire on TV!!!
