"Mommy, you have a baby boy in your belly?"

HA...Nora asked me that this morning. I said yes and explained to her again what's going on, etc.?

Apparently now that her teachers know we're expecting and that it's a boy they're talking to her about it a lot during the day, which is good since we talk to her about it at home too. I think it's starting to sink in.

Her next question, and I quote: "You, you, you, you like that baby boy in your belly?"

I about died. :)

  • That's so cute!  It's funny to see their take on what is actually going on.   My older DD really seems to get it, but the size of the baby is freaking her out.  She sees my growing belly and says that the baby is huge in my belly, but when it comes out, it's just going to be a tiny little baby.
  • LOL Jorie! That's too cute!

  • I love it! The stuttering is so cute too. I love when Mia gets all tripped up when she talks.

  • aweeee, that's cute!

During my big u/s dh said the following: Ethan, look, mommy ate the baby...

for the next 5 minutes I kept hearing: mommy, why did you eat the baby? mommy, why did you eat the baby, mommy, why did you eat the baby?

until I kicked them both out of the room...?

  • LOL lana!!

  • That's too funny.  When I was pregnant with DS, DD would pull up my shirt to talk to or kiss the baby.  But when it was story time or she wanted me to herself she'd pull down my shirt and say "Bye Bye Baby"
  • That is so cute!  A friend of mine's son asked her if the baby in her belly could see through my friend's eyes!!  It is amazing what they think to ask. Kate still doesn't really get that I have a baby in there, though she points to my belly and says baby.
