Canadian maternity leave question

I am not sure if anyone here knows how this works, but I am still on mat leave. When I go back to work, I will be about 14 weeks pregnant. So that leaves me with almost 6 months of work before the next baby comes. I am not sure how this will effect my next maternity leave? Does anyone here happen to know how this works? I thought there would be a better chance of approaching you ladies here

I think you have to be back for 4 months to be ok. DH works in HR and we had a oops moment back in Oct and were freaking out.

Does the Service Canada website have the info? I know it's a drag slogging through government sites. Or you could phone them.

I remember calculating that I would need to work for 4-5 months before I'd be able to receive maternity leave, assuming a 35-40 hr week. I think you should be good! Best of luck

I may be wrong but I thought you're still entitled to the maternity leave but not the ei benefits.

I looked it up. I need 600 hours. Which is only 15 weeks. By the time I work 6 months, I will have over 900 hours so I still get EI. Phew!
