Dang ears

So we're on our sixth ear infection since mid-September. On top of that he has a throat virus with ulcers all over his little mouth and 3-4 teeth trying to come through. His fever was up to 101.8 at its highest today. My poor guy is so miserable and it's so sad to watch.

We have an appointment with an ENT on the 30th. We made that appointment earlier this month when his circumcision surgery got post-poned due to congestion from an ear infection (which was his fifth). I'm so ready for that appointment so maybe he can get some relief.

Miserable!!! I feel so bad for your DS and totally feel your pain! I just called today to set up a date for tubes for DS....we've been avoiding it for way too long! Hope your appointment comes quickly and that he feels better soon!

Oh man. You poor thing. I'm watching LO struggle through her first ear infection this week - with 4 teeth also coming in and it's sucked- I feel for you and our LO. Good luck with the ENT.

We will more than likely be doing tubes. I'm fine with it since it will mean he won't be sick all the time. Usually with an ear infection he's feeling normal after a day of meds but with this throat thing and ulcers in his mouth, he just wants to be held. I have to go to work today, can't find a sub the last day of school, so DH is staying home with him.

How is he feeling? Molly is on her second double ear infection, and we flew yesterday. Poor thing wailed for the entire descent.

He's a little better. His ear is still red and the other is starting to get fluid built up in it, so we got yet another antibiotic. His throat is less irritated and red but he's developed thrush on the inside of his lips. His eating is still up and down and he vomited last night. The good news is he slept all night and wasn't warm when he woke up so hopefully the fever has finally broken! We're supposed to travel today so we'll see how that goes.

Aw, that sounds rough on Molly and you! I hope she feels better soon. Ear infections are no fun. I hate that our babies are sick at Christmas.
