How many of you have a separate play room from your lo bedroom?

We are moving and I want to use one of the extra rooms as a play room.

I've been stalking pinterest but would love to see some real pictures lol

We don't have a separate play room. Our house is small but we have a full basement that is half finished. There are no walls but there is a tv, couches and spare beds. There is a ton of extra room down there so all of DS's outside toys like sit on cars and the play lawn mower are down there. There is a corner with no carpet and I still let DS use his sidewalk chalk there. We plan on putting up walls and making two bedrooms down there next winter before we have number two. We will leave enough open area that there is a playroom for now and later maybe a pool table when they get older.

Before DS came along we had a separate play room. We bought the Cameron shelf system from PBK. Like the picture, I have bins in the bottom for the small/random toys. The top shelves are toys and the bottom shelves are books. We've had it for about 2 years now and it has held up amazingly well.

We use our formal living room as a playroom. It wasn't being used for anything plus the kids like playing with us close by (and I like that as well since they cannot be trusted).

Like a PP said, we converted our living room into a playroom (we have a separate family room) . We have one of those tall shelves with 9 bins. I've always been a bit OCD on organization and clean up and "luckily" my kids picked that up from me so their areas are always pretty neat. We have a 1, 3 & 4 year old. The 3 & 4 year olds have a toy box in their rooms now and they also have a very large basement with some of their bigger toys and they ride bikes down there because I'll allow them to play unsupervised. But the living room/playroom is on the first floor and is where the 1 year old toys are.

It's like this for us as well. We have a small condo, but the bedrooms are large so DS's basketball hoop and bookcase are in his room. The rest of his toys are in the living room, but they all have a place so it doesn't look cluttered and his kitchen center is in the dining room. It works for us- so no extra playroom necessary.

We have a separate playroom that is just off our den where we spend most of our time (it's part of a converted garage). I won't show pictures, though, because it's actually kind've ugly (the playroom, not the den). I didn't want to do a lot because the room needs drywalled/new carpet, etc. Mostly it just holds his toys. We have an adult chair, a beanbag chair, some decals, a growth chart, etc. I need to get some organization bins and I want to get a toddler sized table/chairs, too.

we are moving in a few months and one of the rooms has french doors with windows on them. perfect view from the kitchen so we plan on using that as the playroom. i just hate having toys everywhere and i guess i would rather have the mess contains lol.

We have a loft that we fully keep planning on transitioning into a playroom for DD. But, we are never upstairs so we just have a section of our living room where we keep toys and she just plays down there.

Here it is! All we have left to do is replace the blind and hang the ceiling fan/light. I'm really happy with how it all turned out!

I don't have pictures at the moment but we have a large bonus room over our garage that is our playroom/family room and then we have a living room downstairs that is connected to the kitchen. I love having our playroom....we keep one small basket of toys downstairs but everything else is upstairs. We have a couch, loveseat and recliner with our TV in the front part and then the kids toys are on the other half behind the couch. Each boy has an IKEA cubby system with fabric bins to hold some of their toys, we have a dress up box, the train table was moved to the attic recently and replaced with a Kangaroo Climber for DS2 and then DS1 has a Rubbermaid bin full of his superhero figures/cars. Both boys are allowed up there anytime they want...DS2 has been able to do stairs by himself since around 15 months and is completely steady on them at this point. We do have a gate on the door so if I need to contain DS2, I just put him in the playroom and close the gate. It rarely gets closed during the day and usually only at night while we're all playing/lounging around to keep him from wandering.
