We are ready. We aren't doing anything too special. Kids will open gifts, and we will make a roast for dinner. We are headed to the IL's this weekend but they are doing Christmas next weekend, but DH is on call. So, we can't travel (oh, darn!). Their house is way to small for 20+ people, and there is no hotel. I am looking forward to having some hot chocolate and relaxing on Christmas eve.
I was hoping to make D's stocking this year but DH and I could not agree on a style until last night. I have a feeling there is no way I will get it completed in time. We just picked up all the stuff we need for Christmas Day brunch so Christmas Eve will be a night of prep and baking. I also need to fill out and make these "coupons" from D to DH. So not too much but enough to feel stressed.
I'm almost done shopping and wrapping. DD and I might be spending the day with my mom in the city (Chicago) on Saturday. Sunday, we're going overnight to Wisconsin Dells. For Christmas Eve, we'll go to mass and then dinner at MIL's house. Christmas day, we'll have family time at home in the morning and then we'll spend the afternoon/early evening at my parents.
I did my shopping online. We bought 2 small trees that just needed to be taken out of a box and put on a shelf - done.
A few things to wrap. No fancy meal to make or attend. DH and I just want to relax with each other. We have hardly had any time to spend together since I went back to work.
Still have shopping to do. My mom, his mom, and a few more things for DH
Still need to put together my students Holiday gifts (last day Friday) and write my Thank you's for my gifts
Need to finalize menu for Christmas Day and shop
Need to wrap A LOT...I haven't even started yet.
Need to pack for vacation. We leave at 4 am on the 26th.
I still have a lot of shopping to do and have wrapped zero gifts. @persephonerose, I also want to make a stocking for H. Hoping I can tackle that this weekend!
I haven't done any shopping. we are going tonight. Its been one of those years. You know where you go, it's Christmas time already? and then go, holy crap, it's the 19th.
@persephonerose, I want a reindeer with a crow on its back (for H's name), two trees and snowflakes, I think. Kind of folk-art style. Haven't started yet but planning to get the stuff this weekend. I think I'm going to use the iron-on adhesive stuff for the appliqué, then embroider around? I'm not a great sewer. I got the idea from this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/164909588/personalized-christmas-stocking-large?ref=related-0
But the one I'm making will be a little less rustic.

Aww that's cute! And it will certainly be one he can keep for a long time.
