Acupuncture and Chinese Herb people, enter

I've been doing acu for a long time but just started chinese herb therapy with it.  I've noticed one weird change (tmi... get ready for it...) my CM smells VERY different.  Anyone ever experience that?!  It's like sweet vinegar, not my usual at all.  I don't have an infection or anything.  I'm grossed out and I smell it constantly, ick, bleh.

    Hmm. I have not experienced this. I would bring it up with your acupuncturist. As long as you're not itching / burning down there...I wouldn't worry about it :)

    That's great you're doing the herbs too. I think they help just as much if not more than the acu.

    EVERY TIME you all talk about acupuncture this is me -> :-SS  However, just a thought, maybe it is helping your body release toxins? Im not saying you are toxic or anything, but I think the body has a way of getting rid of stuff it doesn't want, and unfortunately that is its quickest exit.

    Yea, this. But my guess would be this is more likely from the herbs. OP unless you are having really foul smelling CM and/or other symptoms, it's probably fine.

    I don't do acupuncture but I do sometimes have CM that I could categorize as having a sweet vinegar smell.  For me it appears to be cyclical, so I assumed it was hormonal.  But that too could follow along with the release of toxins theory.  If there's a hormone imbalance and your body is attempting to get rid of excess..whatever...it might be doing so because of the acu or herbs.  I'll have to pay better attention as to what point in my cycle I see that CM more.  Given my obsessive tracking and notes in FF, you would think I would already have record of that but I don't.

    I'm sure it's herb-related because I'm not burning or itching or anything.  I like the toxin idea and it could also be linked to hormones... since mine aren't working and don't mature my eggs, maybe this is helping?  Who knows!  I told my acu today and she said it could possibly be the herbs, but didn't sound too convinced.  I just hope some of this creamy CM turns into EWCM... I have A TON of creamy CM right now.
