Straw/sippy cups - any takers

I've tried giving DD her straw cup about a dozen times and she is not interested at all. The first couple times she got some water and made a not impressed face. Now she won't even put the straw in her mouth. Am I expecting too much for this age? I was hoping that if I could get her to drink some water (or prune juice which we are still doing regularly....) with her solids it would help with her super-firm poops. Anyone trying sippy or straw cups yet, any luck?

Lo has a Avent sippy cup and its hit or miss on him taking it. I haven't tried straws yet.

I just gave lo a sippy cup yesterday...I was surprised how well he grabbed the handles and held it to his mouth since he is EBF and doesn't get bottles often. he just didn't understand the tip up part haha

We've been trying a sippy cup for a week. She likes to chew on the spout part but has no interest in drinking. I think it's normal.

This! He sometimes will tip the cup up...sometimes not. Sometimes it is just a chew fest.

Sippy cup. I think Lily likes that she can do it herself because of the handles, but doesn't really understand it all otherwise.

We bought LO the NUK sippycup it has handles, a soft spout and it's very similar to his bottle. He chews it and holds it in this mouth but doesn't get that he has to lift it up and his head back yet. It's just practice for now.
