If you have GD (diet controlled, as I don't know about meds- ask your doc) I found a really good tip of using cinnamon to lower blood sugar. I found two articles on it, with two opposite types of docs saying the same thing, and talked to my OB who said it was a great idea. One article says 1/2 tsp per day can help lower blood sugars all around.

My blood sugar from fasting was really high because I had some candy for dessert last night (125)... after breakfast, it was 95!
