BFing sessions, how long?

How long do/did your BFing sessions last? My DD will be 8 weeks tomorrow and still wants to nurse for 45 minutes, It's very hard to go out anywhere with her like this. And it's hard for me to pay attention to my toddler. Is this normal? I thought she'd be more efficient by now. I have no idea if we have latch issues, she looks like she is taking in a lot of boob, and it doesn't hurt when she sucks, but I will say I can't really feel her sucking I can see that she is... Do you think that's the issue?

    Can you find an LC to check latch? DD used to do 45 min but has gradually decreased. Now it's usually 15, but sometimes longer.

    Mine used to be long but now they are around 10-20 minutes. ?I pull him off when I hear that he's not swallowing. ?If he wants to suck but isn't swallowing I offer him the paci and he's fine with it.

    DS will nurse anywhere from 10 mins to 45 mins. It wasnt until he was almost 3 months old that his sessions got shorter. I think it just depends on the child.
