Bittersweet Week

This week and next week have been and are going to be bittersweet for DH and myself.  Yesterday, I had my 16 week appointment and the baby had a strong hb which was great.  I talked with my dr about my concerns on having two previous D&Cs and he agreed to bring me in on Monday for an extra u/s to check out my cervix and ease my mind. It was great to know that LO was doing great still.

It was this same appointment with my twins last January that I found out that I had a mmc and we saw that they had passed around Christmas day.  Today is also my EDD for little Peanut that we lost around Memorial Day of last year.  

I remember thinking when I was pregnant for the twins last Christmas how crazy this Christmas would be with 3 under 3 but what a blessing it would be.  Then when I was pregnant with Peanut I thought about how wonderful it would be to be up for the late night feedings and nursing in front of our Christmas tree.

This year we are so thankful to be pregnant with who will hopefully be our rainbow baby.  We are spoiling ourselves this weekend with an elective u/s to find out the gender.  Of course I'm still petrified that we'll get there and something will be wrong.  Ugh...
