Lurker Intro :)

Hi ladies!

I have been reading this board off and on & just wanted to jump into the conversations!

About me: I'm 32, husband is 43. We have been together for almost 12 years, married for 3 & a half. We are currently TTC#1 & are excited to add to the family!

More background: I have 2 step children, whom I love dearly. The eldest is a boy, he is 17 & getting ready to graduate high school this year. The other is a girl, she is 13 (going on 18!!) & in 8th grade. My husband & his ex have had joint custody since the youngest was 3 - so they've both grown up with me & I'd like to believe that I have done my best to help raise them the best I can! 

They both seem rather excited about the idea of a baby in the house, especially the youngest! She's oddly excited to be changing diapers & to help decorate the nursery!!!

Do any of you have any wonderful tips or stories related to adding a baby to a well established household with teenagers?!

    Welcome to the board! Sounds like you have a great start and two helpers for when you add a LO. That is seriously priceless!

    I have no advice. You are so lucky to have such well adjusted teens. I would just enjoy the time, include them in your planning and the bonding time.

    Thank you both for your kind words. I do feel blessed in my situation, as it's a rather unique one where EVERYONE gets along....of course, there have been times when I wanted to pull my hair out, the ex-wife can drive me nuts at times, but hey....I try not to complain, I know that I could have had this turn out totally different than it did.

    I'm looking forward to sharing some stories and getting to know you guys here!
