UPDATE Think surgical thoughts

I need some positive energy, my friends! DS' surgery is tomorrow. Well, they won't do it if he has a cough, a runny nose with yellow or green mucous, or a diaper rash. And he's currently rocking slight versions of two out of three. But because they are so minor, the surgical nurse said to bring him in and let the anesthesiologist make the final call. We took him to the pedi yesterday and she sent a clearance note vouching for him. I really just want it over with. I have written three days of sub plans (teachers will feel me), I have mentally prepared myself for an awful sedation process because I've been told it's the worst. We will have to starve him from 4 a.m. until 10 when he is potentially sedated. I need it to happen. So send your surgical energy my way!

DS was able to have his surgery today!! He was absolutely amazing. He didn't eat from 3:30 a.m. until he woke up at 12:30 p.m. and did not shed one tear. He was up from 6:45 until 11:00 when they sedated him and was smiley and charming the pants off every one. I am so proud of him, and so lucky to have such an easy going, social baby. He's at home now, with a whole lot of bandages and neosporin on and we are crossing our fingers that the night goes as smoothly as today did. Thank you for all the positive energy!!
