My husband has spent the last 15 minutes explains how the Packers could still make the playoffs and I have no idea what he is saying... It sounds like he is just repeating himself.....

I really don't think this has anything to do with pregnancy brain, you either get sports or you don't. I am in the "don't get sports" category. You could draw it all out with stick figures, and make me a fat stack of flash cards, I'd still have no effing idea what was happening.

Well, with my two pregnancies before I am afraid I lost some IQ points or rather, the ability to be focused on things I was doing... so I took Lupron, which can jack with your mind a bit... and of course all these hormones, which jack with your mind... like the HCG. Since I had pregnancy brain with my previous pregnancies, I was hoping I could just tell him I was suffering from it and to stop talking to me about the rankings.
I am not a sports fan. I don't watch sports. I don't enjoy sports. yadda, yadda, yadda... and when I'm laying in bed about 5 seconds from sleep I simply cannot concentrate on what he's saying, but I didn't want to hurt his feelings by just saying, "Stop talking to me."
I think it's kind of funny that your H was so intent on breaking down the laws of sports to you. Doesn't he know YDGAF about sports? Maybe HE has pregnancy brain.

DH always wants to have sports or work discussions at the end of a long day right before I'm about to go to bed. He's all "let's have an intelligent discussion" and I'm all "this episode of Friends is on. I've seen it 100 times and I'm only watching it now because I can zone out and still know exactly what is happening. Zzzzzzz." In reality, I say, "I am happy to listen, but I cannot contribute to this conversation because I am exhausted and mentally fried." He's always cool about it.
It's not that he's boring, it's just not a good time. You have to be in the right mind set to have a conversation about anything. It's a mentally involved activity!
While I enjoy and understand football my H gets very involved in football. Like way into it... And I guess he feels the need to discuss it at time with me. I just get this blank stare on my face usually at that point.
My dad does too. He'll call me to talk about football, when I know he doesn't really care to talk to me about it, he just wants to talk to my H but calls me first to pass the phone.

So you had to DX yourself with a "Pregnancy Brain".. LMAO, (sorry that cracks me up in general).. to get him to respect that you don't understand, nor care to know about something, for him to shut up?
Uhhh, I would have just went with the hurt his feelings part, but im an asshole like that. lol. BTW, i love football!!!
