So I was in a car wreck yesterday. A lady drove right into the side of my car, my driver door, while I was driving through a straight green light. It was a hard impact and my whole body hurts, which you'd expect. The baby is amazing. My OB happened to be in the hospital and came down to do the ultrasound in the ER for me. The baby was kicking and flailing arms and flipping. I was prescribed Norco, and while my pain absolutely sucks, I'm trying not to take it as prescribed (every 4 hours) because I feel like that's excessive. Has anyone else been prescribed Norco while pregnant? I know they wouldn't give me anything that's unsafe, I just can't help being nervous.
Re: Car wreck and prescribed Norco?
maybe just take it before bed so you sleep okay?
I'm so glad you're both alright!!
CAUTIOUSLY expecting Jace in July August 2014
The scheduled dosing (if it doesn't say every four hours AS NEEDED) is to keep pain from getting out of control and is supposed to help you keep from needing to double up on doses later...
I agree with others, talk to your OB about your concerns
I'm sorry about your accident.

It's true though; chronic pain is really bad for you and baby. Of course, so is addiction. Be cautious, but don't deny yourself pain meds as prescribed and cleared by OB as you could make things worse.
