What would you say to the person, giving you crap about not wanting to get sick? This person acts like I am odd and completely out there because I choose not to go around them when they are/have been sick.
Rewind a little bit, last month right before Thanksgiving, I went around her and the kids. They had been exposed to a stomach bug (I had no idea), I got sick a few days later. We waited a week and a half before seeing them, went over for dinner, ds got sick the next day and then dh. I'm guessing it came from her house.
Fast-forward to today. She went to a birthday party over the weekend and was around some people that came down with the flu the next day. She is now acting like I am being ridiculous because I don't want to chance getting sick. We have gotten the flu shot, she doesn't do that.
So, now we are at odds because of our differences. Let me just say that I am a complete germaphobe.
Am I wrong? What would you say to this person? Btw, this person is my sister.
Re: What would you say?
I HATE being sick. I HATE when Z is sick. So I would absolutely be the same way you are.
Perhaps meet on neutral ground- go grab lunch or go somewhere that isn't germ stew (like her house, if they were all recently sick).
