No, I'm not pregnant. :P
DH got a new job! I'm sure some of you remember my post a few weeks ago when he was super depressed and suicidal, the main reason being because the people at his job are all complete jerks and he felt as if getting his bachelor's degree and his whole life were a waste. He had been job searching for months and wasn't getting any replies.
Well, about a month ago he applied for a part-time substitute professor position at the college where he got his associate's degree. The professor is going on sabbatical. It was a long shot, and we weren't even sure if the pay would be very good or if they would offer benefits for a position only lasting 4 1/2 months. He hadn't heard anything by the middle of last week and figured he was out for that one since the semester starts January 6. Well, turns out each person involved in the hiring process thought the other person called him, and they realized last Thursday that no one had actually called him! They scheduled an interview for yesterday morning. It lasted 2 hours and they offered him the job on the spot. They said he would be a perfect fit for the position. The pay per hour is way more than he makes now, so it almost makes up for the difference in hours (it's 25 hours per week in the classroom). They also do offer health insurance. It costs about the same as what we pay for insurance now but is a WAY better plan. He will have his afternoons free to look for a permanent position and go for interviews for after the semester is over. They said he could even attend their job fairs.
So, this is basically the most amazing thing that could have happened right now because it means he will get out of his current job. The people there are terrible. He handed in his notice today and his boss told him he could tell it wasn't "his cup of tea" and that he was going to "get eaten alive in that environment because he doesn't have the same drive as the other guys." Uh, that could have something to do with the fact that they never even trained him and his boss just kept piling work on him without helping at all, even though he spent hours helping the other engineers who had been there for way longer than DH. They are just horrible people. They have completely eroded any self esteem or sense of worth that he had before starting there, and now he has to start building himself back up.
Anyway, thanks for all the T&P's. Just wanted to update you all since I'd posted about the situation here a couple times

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013. We love her to pieces.
We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011. She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
