Okay Ladies, I need your help. DH & I find out the gender 2 days before Christmas. We want to tell our parents on Christmas and somehow incorporate it in their gifts. Any ideas?
Funnnnn!! Hmmm- you could get 2 onesies/outfits and wrap them. One for your mom to open and one for your dad to open- tell them they need to be opened at the same time and that way they're both surprised at the same time and feel as though they each found out in their own unique way.
We're planning to buy a Mylar balloon on Christmas Eve that says "it's a boy/girl!" And wrapping it in a box with a lid, along with other little pink or blue grandparent knickknacks. Maybe a photo frame, onesies, pacifier, etc. We'll tie a little weight on the balloon string and when they take the lid off, the balloon will float up and surprise them. I want to record my parents opening the gift and use that for our FB gender announcement too. They don't know that we have our A/S on Monday, they think it's not till January, so they'll be totally surprised. I hope it works! And hope you figure something out!
we are actually finding out on xmas eve. We are wrapping all presents in brown craft paper this year and using the same color of bows on each (blue or pink) and then for the last present we are going to wrap a small xmas ornament with the baby's name on it (all family members know our name choices whether its a boy or a girl) just in case the hint of the bows doesnt work.
I have an awesome idea that I am going to use. I am actually having twins, and our families do not know yet. I went to build-a-bear and purchased a recordable device and recorded their heartbeats at the last appointment. I am scheduled for my Anatomy scan on the 16th of December. Hopefully, they decide to cooperate and we know what the genders are. Then we will go back to Build a Bear and buy a plain bear and have them install the little devices we recorded their heartbeats on and fill the bears. Place a blue or pink ribbon on each and VOILA...A gender reveal with the most precious pre recorded sound for Grandma and Grandpa to enjoy
We bought this adorable little lamb stuffed animal and I've bought blue and pink ribbon. We find out tomorrow. What ill do is put the correct ribbon in a tiny bow around the lambs neck and wrap it up. Then our family will open it up on Christmas Day to find out what we are having
We're finding out on 12/23 and are giving each mom a pink/blue scarf. I already bought them in both colors and will just return one set after Xmas. Good luck with your decision!
We are buying a bunch of balloons of the color blue or pink for the gender and wrapping them in a big box. I am not putting a name on the gift and then have my parents open it to reveal the gender. The balloons fly out!! None of them have any idea what we are doing other than they are finding out at our Christmas party.
