Comments are killing me

I know I'm putting myself out there by posting bump pictures on Instagram but I live across the country from most of my family and friends and they like to keep up with the changes. The comments from people who just don't think are just killing me lately! One client at work called me pudgy the other day, I almost died!

People are so dumb! I haven't run into that yet. I had a woman today teller I looked great, and after that and reading this I appreciate her comment even more.

Thanks everyone! It's one of my best friends moms who wrote that, she just has no filter! I'm not worried about the picture being public, I don't think you can hide from anything you put on the Internet.

I can relate. "I can't believe how much you're showing already!" Etc. Makes me feel huge even though I am healthy and normal and know everyone is different! Just let it roll off...people think pregnancy gives a free license to comment on and touch people's bodies.

I work with mostly men. One of them today said "what are you feeding that baby miracle grow" -he falls into the obese category just FYI. And another said in the hallway "last week I couldn't even tell you were pregnant now it looks like you've got two or three in there" wtf!? Don't let stupid people get you down! We are growing a person inside of us!! Here I am at 20w (Sunday)

I get rude comments daily when I say I'm not due til May. It's usually coming from patients or their family members so I just have to smile and bite my tongue even when it's hard!

@codineer86 that was a woman who's has two grown children. I told my own mother about it tonight and she told me to "suck it up". I told her it was time to change the subject before I started crying. These crazy hormones make me want to cry at everything!

It's worth remembering that older generations generally think that bigger mama = healthier baby. They probably think its a compliment. I've had my fair share of inappropriate comments but I do just suck them up. Nobody is intentionally being mean, they probably think its what you want to hear.
