Usually "the baby" or "the new baby" since I still call DS the baby. I also use "it" a lot. I did with DS too. It doesn't bother me at all, but other people seem to be horrified when I do that. So I do it more, haha.

Last night my husband randomly called the baby "Cashew". I actually like it, so I might stick with it. Otherwise it was just "baby".

we waited for awhile to tell our kids because we didn't want them to spill the beans to everyone so i would refer to the baby as "this thing growing inside me" and it kinda stuck so i keep calling it that. DH seems to like using "little Ivan" which is the name we picked for a boy

We call it nugget or bambino right now... I think my husband has his fingers crossed for a boy so sometimes he calls it Jr. but I don't like that since we don't know yet. If we have a boy we are going to name him after my husband so "Jr" would be a cute nickname then

I've already given mine, but I have to share one of my buddy's nicknames for her first LO. She and I took parenting in hs together, and when we got the electronic babies, she called hers Gremlin (or the satanic object, she got an evil one). When she got pregnant with her first, she called her Gremlin too, and six years later, we all still refer to beautiful little Sarah as "Grem". I sometimes have to stop to think of her real name!

DS was Sea Monkey and I just started calling this one Sea Squirt. DH sometimes uses Cletus the Fetus, which I'm not too fond of.

My DH's name starts with a J, mine starts with a K, and our dog's name starts with an L, so one day several years ago when I noticed this, I said "When we have a baby, his or her name will have to start with an M to maintain the pattern." My DH (in all his infinitie wisdom) immediately suggested that Magoo would be the best choice - not Michael or Mary or any other normal M name. Magoo. So it's stuck and our little one is now known as Magoo. ::sigh::

My grandfather called me "Elmo Luke" when I was in utero LOL - hubby refuses to use that one.

Right now, he or she is Little Bean or whatever sized fruit/food he/she is that week. I'm not fond of green olives & I don't want to keep changing it every week though.

Since a few others have said the same thing, I won't feel like such a weirdo, but we use "the parasite" right now. Lol when DH was making fun of me for throwing up one day, I got mad and hollered that if he hadn't "infected me with his parasite" I wouldn't be in this situation. We tried for over a year and a half so I was definitely joking, but it stuck. In front of people we call it "the baby" to avoid weird looks.

Personally we have been calling the baby flamingo.it started because I am not finding out the gender and I had someone ask me aren't you worried about what you are having and I answered that I was pretty sure the baby was human and not a flamingo. It has just stuck since then.

At first it was just baby, but lately we've been calling it "Pigpen" because I have really let the house turn into a mess the last few weeks! I am an extremely organized and clean person and I've always kept the house very tidy. But I've been exhausted lately ! I looked around the house and realized that my stuff is everywhere! So I've decided to blame it on pigpen . A friend came over the other day and I said "oh, the baby did it!"

I'm thinking around the 24th, although she has me at the 28th. If this one is anything like the first, he will measure small at the beginning and then they will bump the due date up a week at the 1st tri screening with the high tech sono.
