For those who do not know PGAL is Pregnant After A Loss. We welcome anyone who has had a chemical pregnancy, miscarriage, still birth or loss of a child and are now pregnant again. Being pregnant after a loss comes with a lot of emotions and, while we're thrilled to be here, it's scary as well. Hopefully we can use this check-in to find support and friendship in other women going through the PGAL experience.

Note: I have tried to stay on top of the announcements but if you see that I have missed someone who should be in the PAL graduate or honored sister group, please let me know! Thanks! Also I am training my replacement today so this will be a post and run. I will read thru and post my check in tonight when I get home! Love and luck to you all and congrats the the new Rainbows!

Sorry Edit to update the GTKY!

How many weeks? Well, based on my new EDD, I'm 35w5d. I probably should have that changed above to show my due date is now January 17 and not January 26!

Symptoms? Acid reflux is finally going away...it's been a miserable two weeks. I've had high energy the last few days, which is nice and really helping me power through my to-do lists. Been feeling pretty good the last few days, thank goodness.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! Routine OB and NST tomorrow; next ultrasound is Monday. I had my group B strep test last week and found out I'm negative - woot! No antibiotics and being strapped to an IV for me! [I was GBS positive with DS]

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? I work until Friday, then my university shuts down until January 2. I'll spend most of the break with my parents so they can help me out with DS. I have a list of baby things I need to finish, and I have several appointments I need to knock out before the end of the year [eye doc, oil change etc.]. I'm so glad our university will be shut down for two weeks so I can get things done without taking leave!

How many weeks? 34wks

Symptoms? GERD, m/s, insomnia, hip/back pain, irritable ute, constipation & hemmies.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Tomorrow is my weekly check up & NST.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?

We are moving our bedroom upstairs so it's across from the nursery, instead of downstairs. Other than that we don't have anything exciting going on. We're going to be pretty low key.

How many weeks? 37 weeks

Symptoms? Peeing all the time! Everything else is pretty on/off - occasional heartburn, occasional contractions, back aches. I know it could be much worse so I consider myself pretty lucky.

I tested positive for Group B Strep. Which sounds like it's pretty common and not normally a big deal. But they want me to get an antibiotic 4 hours before I deliver. With my first, I wasn't even at the hospital 3 hours before I delivered and the second is supposed to be much faster. And we live about 40 minutes from the hospital.

My doctor's orders are to get to the hospital as soon as I suspect I am in labor. Well I have been having occasional contractions for about 2 weeks, so I feel like I should just live in L&D for the next month (mostly kidding).

So I am a little stressed about it, I will talk to my doc more tomorrow about my concerns.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?

Having a baby would be nice! But for now, I am just enjoying our last few days/weeks as a family of 3 - spending quality time with my DD and DH.

How many weeks? 36 weeks and 2 days, 611 hours to go

Symptoms? a lot of discomfort low in my abdomen, heartburn, random pains, fatigue.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! So many appointments. 3 a week at least. This is time being taken away from my precious naps.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? christmas of course... new years eve I got tricked into hosting a party for my husbands friends. I am not sure how that happened... but I hope they will appreciate celebrating new years eve at 8pm and then going to bed.

Symptoms? Lots of the regular stuff at this point. Contractions, being uncomfortable, peeing a lot, heart burn, tiredness, cramps, back pain, etc.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! I saw my OB on Monday. Heart rate and fundal height were both good. After my appointment, we decided that it is going to be best if I go off of work a bit earlier than planned. My body is having a hard time with the physical demands of work and I don't want it to be putting the baby in any kind of distress.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?

I still have a bunch of stuff to do for Christmas, and I have to get the rest of the nursery ready. This will take up most of my time for the rest of the year. Nothing really exciting here!

Symptoms?

Back to being tired all of the time now

I'm having a hard time staying excited about this pregnancy now because I'm so physically uncomfortable and I feel guilty for being so done with it.

I'm down to my weekly appointments and bioscans, Nova is getting some fat cheeks

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?
My dad is coming for Christmas other than that, we're just finishing up a few last minute things before baby girl makes her appearance.

How many weeks? 36w4d!

Symptoms? Lots of contractions, cramps and lower back pain lately. Midwife is convinced he's coming early.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! Nothing much but blood pressure and protein in urine are starting to climb so these will be monitored and tested on Monday. Also so curious to get my cervix checked then as it had started effacing last week and I really wonder if it will be dilated at all by monday!

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? Lots of Christmas plans, I don't have a free weekend day until the new year. It's good to stay busy and keep my mind off things, but I also think the baby will come early so I may end up cancelling some of those plans! I don't have anything going on in January though.

How many weeks? 37 and change!!!

Symptoms? The normal. LO is super active and all the movement is starting to hurt!

Any updates: Saw my Midwife last night and while she was palpating she looked me in the eye and said "Now I do not want to scare you but my gut is saying this is going to be a big baby" I chuckled and told her yeah I had a feeling he would be! Dh was over 8lbs and was 3 weeks early. I am not a small person and the women in my family tend to have 8+lbs kids. It will be interesting! Other than that my BP is textbook perfect and I gained less than a pound this week so all is good!

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?

I still have a few tiny projects for the nursery I would like to complete

I would like to set up the swing and bouncy seat

I still need to wrap and ship all of my gifts

I still need to finish buying a few last minute presents

I am sure there are more but that is all I can think of for now!

Symptoms? Pain and pressure in my pelvis and lower back

Still have twice weekly NST and BPP'S, now having physical therapy added, not sure why. And was removed from work today because LO is not tolerating it. She is over reactive.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year?
Decorate my house and enjoy my time off work with my kids off school for Christmas break

How many weeks? 35 weeks 1 day

Symptoms? 1 cm dilated, head is right there (according to doc), lost mucus plug on Monday, feeling very cramp

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? I go tomorrow afternoon for a BPP, NST and to get checked out.

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? Trying to finish this week of school and then finishing up the nursery.

How many weeks? 34 weeks and 2 daysSymptoms? aches and pains, carpal tunnel, exhaustion, and cramping. My gestational diabetes has been harder to manage, my insulin keeps getting upped. Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? I signed my c section consent forms at my appointment on Tuesday (section will be January 13th), I have a bpp today and a NST on saturday morning. GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? Just to get organized and ready for G's arrival. To try to relax and stay calm the days leading up to the 13th.

Symptoms? constipation and hemorrhoids - yay! and overall discomfort

GTKY: What plans do you have between now and the end of the year? All Christmas shopping is done as of last night. Trying to get things wrapped up at work before my leave starts. Just want to get my house thoroughly cleaned and ready for baby - that's the plan for this weekend. Oh, and get a mani/pedi
