UTI ??

Im debating going to the Dr tomorrow. I have weird pressure on my bladder/ pelvic floor that has hung around for the last 2 days, even when I empty my bladder it still feels like someones pushing on it. It doesnt hurt when I pee and Im peeing the same amount I usually do. Every time I have had a UTI before its been pretty painful so this is different.

My tummy feels like its being stretched to the brink and Im wondering if the pressure has more to do with my belly growing or if its a possible UTI. Any ideas ? Better safe than sorry and do a urine test tomorrow ?

I've developed slight pressure on my bladder. Often when I empty it, it does feel uncomfortable afterwards (not really pain though). I've questioned this too, but I think it's normal?

Thanks ladies. I think Ill wait a few days before heading to the Dr and see if the pressure goes away on its own.
I didnt even know they sold strips like that OTC ! I wonder if its a US thing or if Canada has them too ??

Before being pregnant, I had painful UTIs. Now it's different - I get them but they aren't painful at all. I had one with each of my first 2 pregnancies. It doesn't hurt to get it checked out, and they can be bad for pregnancy, so I'd go get it checked.

I have noticed that once in a while I'll have cloudy urine but then it's totally fine for the rest of the day. No other symptoms. A little worried now since it's probably been a few weeks since that's been happening. My ob did a urine test bout 8 weeks ago and everything was fine..

I had a UTI last week that felt sorta how you described, so not my normal pain when I've had them. I had cloudy urine though which is why I went in. I'd think without the cloudy urine it might just be your uterus expanding and putting pressure on your bladder but I'm not sure. I didn't want to take any chances.

I made an appt for this afternoon to get it checked. I hope I didn't harm the baby by waiting to go..

@jewels1199 - This sounds similar to what I was experiencing a few weeks ago. My doctor said it was pressure because I have a tilted uterus and it was blocking my bladder. Assuming it isn't a UTI, you can try some different poses to try to relieve the pressure like getting on all fours and arching (like cat pose) or squating with your but all the way to the ground and your knees by your chest.

But I would highly suggest going to the doctor. I wound up having to go the hospital and get a catheter because I couldn't empty my bladder at all and it was not fun.

Most pharmacies do knockoffs. I know the CVS brand were only 10. The rest is pretty easy.. as a pregnant lady i'm sure you're familiar with peeing on a stick.

I've tried these before (the AZO one) with false results (said I was fine, actually had a UTI). Just a warning, I think they are a waste of $$. I'd rather pay a co-pay or co-insurance on a test than waste $10.

Thanks everyone.I woke up today with no pressure and clear urine so hopefully it was nothing. If I start to see anything I will def get to the Dr ! Another joy of pregnancy ! LOL

Btw - I took the store test and it showed that I have some kind of bacteria. Then my doc did full on lab analysis on my urine and everything is perfectly fine.

Bottom line - don't trust over the counter stuff!
