I think I can, I think I can! I am not a busy work/ videos kind of teacher, but I am today! We get out Friday at 11:30. When are you all free? I can't wait for the break!

    Yay! I'm excited about all the fun stuff this week that gives me a break. Kids get to go watch a play this morning!

    Technically, we're working until 4pm Friday, but kids are gone at 2, so I may sneak out early ;). 

    Break is almost here!

    I'm "that teacher." Giving a final exam today and tomorrow. So glad I got out of dance duty tomorrow and get to show a movie in my room instead. Teacher work day Friday guarantees that I have NO grading for my three weeks off!

    Finals start today for me.  I'm planning to leave immediately after finals today since all three of my babysitters cancelled.  My brother came home from college last night and is watching DD this morning.  Kinda scary...  I think a huge benefit of being a high school teacher is having finals this last week before break.  It makes things a whole lot easier.

    I work until Friday at 3:15.  We usually let the kids go at 2:45.  But us kindie teachers are doing a gingerbread house making party at 12:30.  If parents want to take their kids home early who am I to stop them?

    ...and today there is a full moon!  I carefully planned for this week to be an "independent work day" for all of my classes.  I teach elementary art.  All of my classes are at a stage in their projects where they know what to do they just need time to produce the artwork.  Well, except pre-K and K they do VERY little "independent" work!

    Sisimama...Where is the world do you teach that you only get Christmas day off at a school!?!?  That is bonkers!

    I get out Friday afternoon and come back 1/6 :)  I thought that was about typical for schools.  I bet those with shorter Christmas breaks get out sooner for summer than we do.

    7th grade science here... I'm testing today and doing my best to peel them off the walls/ceiling and to keep them working! We get out Friday afternoon. I'm looking forward to showing the myth busters holiday special Friday. Woke up sick today though. Cough runny nose and fever. Not cool.

    We have a 2 hour early out tomorrow with staff professional development in the afternoon (kiddos start their break at 1pm tomorrow), then a half day for staff on Friday if all online "school safety" training was completed. We are having brunch :-)

    Our kiddos get out on Thursday. I technically have professional development on Friday but I fly off to Mexico Thursday night. I finished my report cards this past weekend, so I could kick up my feet and relax.

    Friday is a half day with our teacher holiday party as soon as the students leave.  Also my last day of work, period.

    Nope. I'm a preschool teacher at a daycare. We go year round. Not even a summer break.

    I teach fourth grade, Friday will be a total "fluff day". Movie, craft project, gym, and not much else lol. One more real day and then Friday at 3:00 officially starts vacation. !!

    This is a long week in 2nd grade! We scheduled rotating craft days for today and tomorrow though, which helps pass the time. We also have an all school (K-6) assembly on Friday morning... but 2:40 on Friday just can't come fast enough!

    We are done for 2 weeks as of Friday afternoon. It's the longest Christmas break I can remember having in my district but it's extended because we reported for 2 days last summer for student assessments.  I'm so ready for this week to be over!

    18 days off starting Friday! Although my programs are done tonight, so it's games and amp songs for the next two days! (Music teacher, 3rd-8th grade.)

    I get to spend my last day on Friday in CPI training.. learning how to properly restrain students without hurting them.  Not exactly how I would like to end my week, but then 16 days off!

    Two more days for me - our concert was last week and we finished music assessments today so it's a movie the next two days!!! Then two weeks of PJs and home!!

    We're done tomorrow.  BUT... should have been done Friday but being forced to take an unpaid day by the Government.  All other support staff (TAs, secretaries etc) have to work Friday.

    We've got till Friday at 3:15. But Friday we've got caroling in the morning and a Christmas party in the afternoon so no actual work is getting done. Just got to make it through tomorrow!
