low fetal heart rate?

I'm 6w 5d and I just had my first appointment this morning. I had a ultrasound and we got to see our little bean and the heartbeat flickering! However the heart rate was 110, on the low side of normal. The nurse practitioner said she was only 10% concerned given that the heart probably started beating just recently but she's having me go back on Monday for another U/S. Although she wasn't all that alarmed I'm sort of freaking out now. Has anyone else experienced this?

    I just read something yesterday that said the heart rate should pick up by the end of the 9th week. The heart develops by the end of week 5 to the beginning of week 6, and the heart rate starts out slower and then picks up the pace. 

    Our nurse said they liked to see it above 90 by 6w3d, so it sounds like you are on track to me.

    It's still really early! My understanding is that the heart rates start slow and pick up. Wishing you  a happy and healthy 9 months!

    Yes! Happened to me at 6 wks w this bean. Next appt the next week, heart rate was perfect. Doc explained when the heart first starts firing, it often takes a little while to get revved up. We had our anatomy scan yesterday, and everything including his heart is absolutely perfect. Stop worrying and think good, cleansing, happy thoughts! :). (Easy for me to say, right??)

    My fetal heart rates were in the 110's in the beginning. Hang in there
    Me:35,  DH: 39   
    TTC since March 2011. All bloodword, SA & HSG are normal.  
    8/12: Clomid & TI - BFN 
    10/12: Colmid & TI - BFN 
    3/13:  Clomid, Trigger & IUI - BFN 
    4/13: Gonal F, Trigger & IUI: BFN  
    6/13: IVF #1 (1AA blast & 1BB blast) = BFN 
    8/13: FET #1= BFN
    10/13: FET #2= BFP!!!

    Sounds very close to what this lo's heartbeat was at 7w1d 115.  Ts and Ps for you and your pregnancy!
