Toddler Birthday party recs?

My daughter is fast approaching her 2nd birthday already. I would normally just have a small gathering of family and closest friends at our house like we did last year but I have the same due date again and DON'T have any desire to host a birthday party at my house with all that we have going on between the holidays and this new bundle of joy arriving soon.

I searched and looked back 7 pages and couldn't find anything, but I know this has been asked before. Sorry.

Looking for recommendations for somewhere to have a birthday party for my daughter. Preferably somewhere very reasonably priced, but that will also take the hassle out of it for me.

We live in Oakdale, but the majority of our family is in the Coon Rapids/Andover/Anoka area. I really don't think she needs something big and exciting like a party at the Children's Museum or Como or anything like that. Her cousins are all between the ages of 6-8, so they are usually fine entertaining themselves if we don't go with somewhere with entertainment.

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

  • We did DD1's birthday at The Giggle Factory last year and it was great.  It was a 2 hour private rental for $200.  They cleaned everything.  We showed up had our party and left.

On the way there we stopped at the grocery store and picked up juice boxes, cake, and balloons and then stopped at Little Caesar's for some pizzas.  It was the easiest party I've done so far.

  • Some community centers have rooms you can use for parties, we also went to one at pump-it -up. The parents said it was reasonable.

  • My brother's kids are big fans of Choo Choo Bob's since they both love trains. They have a couple party rooms and a bunch of train tables put on the floor for everyone to play with.

  • The Monkey House in White Bear Lake is only open for private parties like this on the weekends.  (It's an indoor play area/inflatable bouncy houses, etc).  Your 2 year old would love it, but so would the 6-8 year old cousins.  (But, the Children's Museum is cheaper...)

    Good luck!

The Sea Life Aquarium is where we had DS's 2nd birthday party this year. It was awesome! All I did was bring in balloons and a special banner. They provided everything and catered pizza. Then all the guests go through the aquarium after the party. It was so much fun and so easy!

We went to a party here and it was wonderful! We might have DS's party there next year.
