Gift for 13 yr old girl

What's a good gift for a 13 yr old girl? She's not really a girly girl. Each time she's at my house she's on her iPad, so I'm not sure what's she's into. I was thinking of making her a cute tote bag with shampoo, hair spray, body spray, lip gloss, etc. But that's definitely a girly girls gift.

Her home life is really hectic, so I want to get her something for HER, that her smaller siblings or mother won't take/ruin, if that makes sense (long story). What do you think? She's DHs niece by the way. Thanks!

    She loves to read! She's always reading books she downloads on her iPad. I'm very close with her, well...used to be. Since having LO life has gotten busy so I don't get to spend as much time with her as I used to. Thanks for the tips!

    Gift cards for book downloads. I love the tote idea, maybe make the tote iPad sized? Or a pouch/case for her iPad?
