My DD has one full time and one new (one month) part-time provider. I am thinking of giving the full time provider a gift card to a massage place and a smaller gift card to Sbux or something to the PT provider. WDYT? Is the massage gift weird?
All of the parents for E's daycare went in together for gifts. We got them new monogrammed smocked aprons to wear (they have to wear them so we figured they would like to be cute in them at least), stadium chairs to help support their backs while playing with our LOs all day on the floor, and mani/pedi gift cards for a little pampering .
we have 2 main providers, and then 3 various other teachers that seem to rotate through the room. we decided to give the 2 teachers $20 gift cards to panera, and then bought a box of godiva truffles to give to the room (hoping to cover the other various helpers).
There are TWELVE providers at our daycare and every single one of them takes care of one of the boys at some point during the day so there's no way they're all getting something big. I wish I could, but I can't. They're all getting homemade cupcakes in jar
We're trying to avoid spending a lot this Christmas, so we're doing a homemade card (that LO "helped" make) along with probably some candy or something. It also doesn't really help that we're leaving this daycare after Christmas because we don't really like it for LO ...
As a daycare provider some gifts that are greatly appreciated :any type of gift card, any kind of wine. For anyone that can't afford to get a gift for each teacher, a homemade card is nice, or Ive had a mom that ordered us all lunch from a local deli, she just told us to order whatever and left us her credit card, it came to like $30 for lunch, and it was a nice surprise, you could do breakfast, coffee etc.
