Slipped on the ice onto my belly

Im wearing uggs because there the only shoes I can get my swollen feet in. Uggs ARE NOT good boots for traction or walking in snow. When I was scraping my car off I slipped and fell on my belly. I tried to keep my weight on opposite side baby lays. Urgh everything seems ok nobpain no bleeding. Just scary. Anyone else having a slippery winter??? Be careful!!!

I think you should still call the doctor. I know you were not asking about that, but I don't think a phone call will hurt anything.

Sorry that you fell. I am extremely clumsy by nature and have to walk extra slow, even if there isn't ice.

I fell this am. I thought ground was wet(since stuff has been melting) but as soon as my heel hit the ground I found out it was black ice. I was trying to turn so I wouldn't hit my head on my running boards and twisted & slid and landed on my belly. Spent all am n L&D. Baby is ok but had to be monitored for 6 hrs just n case. I would let your dr know just to be safe. I can barely move this afternoon.

I hope all checked out well for you - since I'm assuming you went in. Last week when I went to L&D for lack of movement my nurse said someone else had come in for slipping on the ice.

Lurking January 2014. I fell the other day too I didn't hit my stomach but my head & tail bone. My dr wasn't concerned as long as baby was moving, no cramping, bleeding, contractions. Doesn't hurt to call.
