Sleeping issue

Hi All - LO has been sleeping 7am-7pm for a while now. The last few nights he's been going to bed at 7, and up at 5am. I know - I'm still lucky to get 10 hours (believe me I am thankful!) he has 2 bottom teeth already that didn't seem to effect him all that much. His top tooth is coming through now and he's definitely fussy.
Anyone experiencing this? Think his early wake ups are from teething? I'm just hoping this is temporary. I have such a hard time falling back asleep once I'm up :(

Re: Sleeping issue

  • We have had a tooth a week for 5 weeks now, plus a cold so I'm not sure if I can give a good answer. All I know is he went from consistently sleeping from 7 to 5 to maybe 7 to 4 with a MOTN wakeup or two for the last 5 weeks. He slept through from 7 to 4 last night and I freaked out when i woke up thinking something was wrong.

    I shouldn't have opened this.

These are like baby first world problems, I know.
I know I know, I'm sorry!! I am extremely thankful for a good sleeper - trust me! I honestly was just curious if anyone was/ had experienced this and if LO went back to the way it was.
  • I'm not sure about the teething affecting the wakeup time. C sleeps fairly consistently from 8:30 to 6:30, and teething hasn't really messed with that, but he has been having more fussiness with his top tooth than he did with his bottom two teeth.

Me either. I've had one 10 hour night... Seriously if I had that I think I would be the most rested person ever!

  • While I am thrilled for the OP, this just depresses me :)

  • I wish I could get 10 hours.

I'll split the difference and be happy with five.

OP, We've been teething for three months (four and five popping out now), and I don't *think* it's affected her wake-up time. I hope things go back to your normal soon.

Thanks guys! And I hope that we ALL get lots of sleep in 2014! :)
  • hah, yes ten hours, what a dream.

While my LO has never slept more than four hours at a time...he did start waking up suddenly at 5:00 for the day instead of 7...this seems to be slowly changing on its own...knock wood...thank God.
