I thought about doing the same thing since it only lets me post from my phone, but when I tried with a new account, it still gave me the same error message "body is required."

Well I finally found where someone had quoted me & when I clicked on my profile it says "banned"... wtf??? I haven't said anything that has ever even been flagged, why am I banned? Can a mod help me out?

I don't know of there's an easier way, but all the way at the bottom of the mobile site is the option to view "Full Site Home". Then just do like you would on a computer.

Ms.Chaiffez, a bumpie, posted on the help board said to use Mozilla Firefox or Chrome if you are getting "body is required" error message. It worked for me! Thanks again Ms. Chaiffez!!!
