What do you put on top of your tree?

Last night when I couldn't sleep I started wondering what everyone else puts on their tree. At my moms we put up the abominable snowman from Rudolph and at our house we have Tinkerbell. So what do you guys use?

At our house we have a star.

At my parents house we have a Topper that has teddy bears dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Claus. I love it and would totally scrap our star if I found something like it!

We've always had an Angel on our tree, but needed something new this year and replaced it with a star. H wanted something that lights up, and the only thing we could find that was nice enough was a gold star!

Right now, nothing, because our tree is so big that there's no room between the top of the tree and the ceiling to put something.

That being said, I'm inclined to put angels at the top of Christmas trees. No matter what kind of tree we had - a formal one, a casual one, a themed one - my mom always put angels at the top.

(I have a dessert-themed tree that I put up in my dining room every year with candy and cupcake ornaments, candy garland, and I have a topper that is a variation of a star to look like a peppermint candy.)

We used to have a star, but it was too heavy for our tree. Each year we will find something random and put it on top. This year is a pretty red bow.

He really does look like that dude, just in a red suit. It's pretty awesome. He does look rather uncomfortable since the tree is up his back side.

We have this; I've always considered it a flower. It is glittery even though you can't see it in the pic. Sorry it's so huge and blurry. Also don't know why it's underlining and in blue.

we NORMALLY have a star, but this year DH found a sparkly Elvis ornament that is now up there right along with it. It's the silly things that make him so cute sometimes...

We have a bow too. It was made from our pew bows from our wedding! I love re-living my January wedding every year fro Christmas although this year we did not decorate for Christmas too stressful with the baby coming!

I had a silver star before SO and I moved in together. He has a Santa hat tree topper and I love it so we use his topper now.

We put a bow on top of the tree. It is either gold or purple depending on the year, since we alternate between our two college colors. This year it is gold.

Growing up we always had an angel, but my husband & I use a little Santa hat. Once we get a larger tree, we'd really like to use a star instead.
