Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Hey there

Moving on over here from july14. Had some brown discharge last night kinda just chalked it off and hoped it wasn't anything serious. I woke up this morning and I had brown blood streaked with pink and red. I went to the hospital they did hcg levels which were only in the 2000's and a transvag ultrasound which found to be no fetus just a sac. Dr doesn't want to do any surgery he wants me to let everything happen naturally. I've just been crying all day and miserable te worst part is I spilled too early and now I have to tell people I'm no longer pregnant (won't make that mistake again). Also might sound crazy I'm not bleeding bad and I haven't done anything out of the regular today but when I got home I got a shower because I have a MASSIVE headache and I suddenly got sick to my stomach and couldn't hear anything and felt like I was going to collapse. My mom says it's due to the trauma but has anyone else had this happen? I hope to get through this with all of your support and I hope to support you all also <3

Re: Hey there

  • Sorry for your loss, I am sorry your feeling physically so sick, I think it is probably the stress and shock of the loss. The day I knew of my mmc I was so sick. I would take it easy, but also check In with your dr if your not feeling better soon or if you have a high fever. Be sure also your dr tracks your hcg to 0.

  • Thank you. They are tracking it every week and if it doesn't go down they will perform the dnc. It's just so scary and heartbreaking it I'm honestly so grateful that TB has this forum for all of us to grieve together.
  • I feel for you, I have taken a lot of naps since I found out about my missed miscarriage last Thursday. It seems easier to sleep than to have to deal with anything.  I had told a handful of people that I was pregnant and I was actually glad to have their support. My parents and MIL, who I had plans with this past weekend (two days after I discovered the loss), were very supportive and sympathetic.

I was anxious to have things over with so I took a medication to speed things along. I would recommend this method, it seemed safer than a D&C.  I took the drugs along with tylenol with codeine and a zofran at 6:00 in the evening and it was pretty much over by 2:00am.  I am still bleeding now (four days later), but it is more like a normal period. I was told to expect bleeding for 5-7 days.
