DD will be 2 this month. I'm thinking I want to get her a blah blah doll and some nice kitchen items to help mommy in her own size Give me your ideas please.
I second the mega blocks. We just purchased DS a Melissa and Doug wooden kitchen and I fell in love after putting it together. Great quality and small enough to fit by my kitchen in a small condo. Pots and pans and wooden food to go with the set as well. Play Dyson vacuum and books.
Mega Bloks, Melissa & Doug stacking set (with blocks and rings), inflatable ball pit, wagon, books, suitcase for our airplane trip after Christmas, Melissa and Doug gears board...grandparents got him a hugging Elmo I think.
Don't know if those are all the rage, but that's what mine is getting.
I'm not sure about what is all the rage. I bought DS trains, books, and a Lettersaurus because these are things he likes. He also loves his Mega Blocks. He sits and builds with them often.

Books. Wooden blocks. Bitty Baby or Corolle dolls. Haba toys/Melissa and Doug. Nice play kitchen? The Ikea play food is super cute. I LOVE the playsets by a British company, Early Learning Centre, especially the fairy ones like "Bluebell Boot" or the little mushroom house. You can sometimes find them on Amazon and they are just adorable. They get played with all the time but our FP Little People have not been a hit. I also really like the B Brand Toys at Target.
