I had an u/s this morning at CD12 (see siggy for meds). I have two 15mm follies on one side and a 12.5 on the other side. My RE immediately started talking about "getting a better response next cycle." To me, this seems premature- should I really "out" this cycle already?
I'm thinking that if the 15's grow 1-2mm per day, I could be ready to trigger with an 18mm follie by CD 14 or 15, which is still within the range of normal, right?
I can't do IUI any later than CD15, as we are going out of town the morning of CD16. So, I'm coming to terms with doing TI instead. But I still feel hopeful that I could grow a mature follie or two, then trigger on CD14 or 15, and then do TI.
Should I still hold out hope for this cycle?

I agree that he is being a bit premature. My RE acutally did something similiar and he justified it by saying that he was just trying to be a realist that sometimes it didn't work on the first cycle becuase the first cycle was a "guessing game" to see what would work and what would have to be adjusted. He said he never felt like I didn't have a chance that cycle, but if it didn't work, he felt confident of what adjustments he would need to make the next cycle for it to work.
That was on my TI cycle with this pregnancy. It worked!
After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!
