Medela PISA vs. Symphony

Has anyone here used both that can compare? I purchased and have been using the PISA for a few months now. The hospital I work in though provides the Symphony hospital grade pumps in their lactation rooms that I can use if I get the membranes. As I'm now struggling with my milk supply I thought about giving the Symphony a shot, but was wondering if it would really be much different.

    No experience in trying the symphony but in most cases the hospital grade pump is always superior.

    I had access to a Symphony LO's first 6 weeks and loved it! It was quicker and more efficient. I use the PISA now and used it with my previous babes. It gets the job done, but takes a little longer. In addition, it doesn't last through babies. I've had to buy a new one with each baby. I had an extra set of pieces, but literally just opened them to use. Otherwise I would have sent them to you! If you want the tubes, PM me. I'm not sure if they are wrapped seperately, but they are still in the box.

    I have a PISA and my work began providing a Symphony in the lactation room when my DD was 6ish months old. It seems like the Symphony may have been more powerful but I didn't notice much change in my output. I also had issues letting down for the Symphony at first because it is so much quieter, but that resolved after the first day or so.

    I have the PIS but use the Symphony at work. I used to think my PIS was better, but since I started EPing six weeks ago I find the Symphony is better. I'm having to really crank up the suction on my PIS to get the response that I get from a lower setting on the Symphony. I find the Symphony is faster as well. My lactation consultant (who also pumps) prefers the Symphony as well. I don't know how much the membranes are since my work provides them. You may not be able to tell a difference right away, but if you're someone who pumps a lot you will.

    I had a PISA for my other kids, but insurance is covering the symphony this time around and I like it much better than the PISA.  The true test will be in about 1 month when my supply usually tanks and I have to pump more to keep up with baby (right now I only pump 2 times per day at work).  My hope is that I can stick to the two pumping times because my role has changed at work, and I don't know if I can fit in 3 or 4 sessions.
