What is everyone taking for heartburn?

All of the sudden my heartburn got extremely bad. What do you take?

Berry tums. They're the best flavor I've found and not as chalky. Gosh is the heart burn bad.

My Pharmicist recommended Pepcid AC. I have horrible heartburn and it seems to help a lot. Good luck:-)

Tums. I carry a whole bottle in my purse. Almost every meal I eat gives me heartburn.

I had never had heartburn a single time in my entire life until my first pregnancy. I didn't even know what it was until I described the pain to my husband. I took Zantac every single day (per doctor's recommendation) for te reminder of my pregnancy and it was a miracle drug. Pregnancy #2 it got even worse. I went to Zantac twice a day, which did nothing, so my dr gave me a prescription. I wish I hadn't waited the first couple months to ask...it was misery until then. Hoping it's not as bad this third time around!

Side note: baby #2 (bad bad bad heartburn) was born with a FULL head of hair! Maybe there's something to the old wives tale!

Apple cider vinegar tablets. When it was really bad with DD before I took pepcid also, but believe it or not generally the apple cider tabs worked

Taking Zantac. I wasn't getting a lot of relief with 150mg twice a day, so I talked to once of the gastroenterologists I work with and he said to up to 300mg twice a day, since then it hasn't been nearly as bad! Yay!

Tums by the bucket load. I bought a few travel packs for the cat/ diaper bag that I just keep refilling.

I am not having this issue, but the paperwork from my ob okays the following if needed for heartburn, reflux, upset stomach, gas: tums, maalox, mylanta, zantac, pepcid, peptobismal, gasx, phazyme, simethicone

I second the recommendation for berry Tums. They almost taste good.

I started taking Tums but it wasn't effective enough so now I am doing Zantac as needed. It's worked great so far!
