Ergo original vs. Ergo performance carriers

Any thoughts on whether the performance carrier is worth it? My husband gets hot easily, and baby is coming in the spring...so wondering if the performance will be better for summer heat. Or if we should just go with the original? Thanks!

    i have the performance and  i like it a lot. 

    it still is hot but not as thick as original. but i think original is more comfy

    Yes performance model all the way! I get hot easily and this was more
    Comfy than the sport. DD and I love our ergo. I've been using it since she was a couple months old and now that she is a toddler I put her comfortably on my back.
