I had my 'surprise' shower yesterday. (The one I found out a bit back.) It was a long day. Church, then potluck, shower right after, then a trip to Silver Dollar City.
At the shower I got a few things from my registry. I got the PNP, two outfits, wet wipes, high chair, and bathtub that was on the registry. I got a lot of things that weren't like some outfits, toys, and other things. I think one lady was stalking my Pinterest because she made me a taggie toy blanket thing and some burprons! I was also given the decorations to hang around for LO. All the pictures were taken by the preacher's wife so I don't have them yet.
Then my brother surprised us by calling and asking to take us out to Silver Dollar City for the evening and them out to eat afterwards. (The only thing that was open close was a cracker barrel. DS lost a cap to one of his teeth. Not sure if it was swallowed or what. Just know we didn't find it.
I have no pictures since no one thought to take any, but I had a small shower thrown by two friends yesterday. 12 people plus me, good food, amazing dessert (key lime mousse cheesecake, yum!), and good conversation among friends. Super low key which was nice with so much going on right now. We've got clothes and bedding covered now which is great!
I had my baby shower on Friday and it was a surprise! It was put together by SO's mom and sisters. At 11:00 AM, my mom picked me up to take me to her house so I can help decorate her Christmas tree. Little did I know she was in on it too! SO told me we are going to his cousin's birthday party later on that night so if I could be home before 7 PM. My mom and I pulled into the driveway and surprise! SO fetched me from my mom's car and as I walked up to everyone.. They "showered" me with white flowers. I had no idea what it was and thought it was shrimp chips haha! Here's the photo of me being "showered" and SO and I.
My MIL and SO's aunty cooked almost all of the food and it was all yummy! Him being Filipino we had lots of Filipino food: pork sisig, vegetable lumpia, menudo, pancit, caldereta, sinigang. Here's the set up of the buffet line (Big props to SO for decorating!) and a photo of me and my mom
After Dinner, My SILs planned out some fun games like baby word scramble, guess how big my bump is, and my favorite game of the night.. who can drink out of the baby bottle the fastest! We had SO's cousin, BIL, and best friend participate and the drink inside was beer haha! His BIL (the middle) won!
Here's a photo of almost everyone there watching the beer game.
Afterwards, SO and I opened our presents together..
It was a really fun night and I am so grateful of his family, my mom, and our friends to make it really special. What a night.
Here's a photo of the after party which was SO and his buddies singing karaoke and catching up with each other over some beer
Great Pics Ladies!!! Looks like you all had amazing times
Mine was Saturday- we had a co-ed one and it was super fun! Here are some pics from it i can't believe all the gifts we got! we felt so blessed! and yes we took a group photo outside
I have no pictures yet, but I had two showers back-to-back yesterday! One for family, the other for me and DH's friends. Both were great and we got some good stuff! Still so much to do, though!
My shower was on Saturday. Even though this is baby #2 my best friend insisted on a shower since we are having a little boy this time. She held it at my mom's house so DD wouldn't climb the stairs at her house. There were only 7 people including me, which is fine because I really don't like big crowds. I received a few presents with adorable little clothes and blankets. DD loved all of the attention. We played guess how big my baby is, the Price is Right and Baby Name Race. Everybody enjoyed themselves and I had a lot of fun.
