NBR: Business/ handmade goods question.

I'm thinking about making ring slings. I made one for a friend and she loves it. What's holding me back is liability issues. I know that if they're used wrong they can be unsafe. How do I go about this? I will be doing research for selling online and at craft fairs but thought I would ask here as I know some of you are crafty and use etsy

The only way to convert yourself legally is to talk to a lawyer about it.

What @CDMay2006 said. I would not make and sell them. There are a lot of other crafty things you can do for money that don't carry the same liability.

ETA: it's not just about someone using it unsafely. If one of your seams rip, the ring breaks, etc., you're not only at risk for liability issues, but some serious lifelong guilt if a baby gets hurt. Not at all worth it in my opinion.

So so so true, I had a momentary lapse in judgment. I will just have to turn down people who ask for them.

lol ummmm I went with a completely different name. Haha. As much as I love my daughters name. I wanted something that would be easily remembered.

What @blinnea23!!! I thought we were gonna get around the stupid TB rules. I was about to go search all the options and ones that were discussed on Etsy. Suppose I'll just have to PM next time I get on the computer!

Haha! I don't have a store yet anyway :P waiting until I get a bunch made
