I picked up some more food for LO yesterday and saw several Gerber items that have cinnamon in them. Pears with cinnamon, apples with cinnamon. Is it safe/good idea to feed babies cinnamon.
I've added cinnamon to baby food It's fine. Friends have actually recommended I add various spices to foods, just to give it more variety. Cinnamon is as crazy as I've gotten, though
I add cinnamon all of the time to apples, pears, and sweet potatoes. Gives it some added flavor. Pedi said spices are totally fine and babies often like them.
After reading this post, I put a little cinnamon in DD's oatmeal today. She didn't seem to like it any better or worse, but mama likes trying out new things so it was fun for me.
I tried it last night with 6oz + 2tb oatmeal and she liked it and then wanted more so I made another 2oz and some oatmeal (no more cinnamon but there were probably remnants in there). Guzzled that down too.
