First Night Out Fail

DH and I were going to a Christmas party Saturday night, my first time leaving all three kids for something other then a quick run for something. My parents were watching the kids and I coordinated pumping and feeding for 2 days to have milk to leave. All the kids were recovering from colds and it was snowing but we decided to go as it was only three blocks away. I dressed in real non maternity clothes and put on makeup. Was there 30 minutes and dad calls that DS1 threw up. DH dropped me home and went back to the party and my parents went home. Then LO decided to scream his head off which he never does, DD was crying because her lip was bleeding, and DS1 ended up with croup and was crying he just wanted mommy to sleep in his bed. Maybe someday I will see other adults who are not part of the kids pediatric practice!

    No way would DH want to leave sick kids.
    I hope your parents were able to help settle everyone. Poor kiddos. Sorry your night went south, and you'll get out soon enough!!

    Im with everyone else! I can't believe dh went back to the party! I'm sorry you had to do that all by yourself. You're a great mom. your kids are very fortunate
