6 month vaccine question

My lo had his 6 month shots on Friday afternoon. It's now Monday afternoon. He has been so irritable since he had them. Also he is sleeping horribly. Not that he was a great sleeper before. Has this happened to anyone else?

Not sure if it's this, teething, god only knows what else. I just want to help the little guy and I'm not sure how at this moment.

    We sure did have the same thing happen. After his six month shots it took a few days (more than previous vaccines) to "get back to normal" He was super cranky as well and his sleep was definitely thrown for a week or so. I was blaming teething on top of shots but as he is still toothless...that may not have been the case.

    Thanks, ladies. Poor little man was so cranky today too. Very unlike himself. I hope all the babies feel better soon.

    Wow. It's really bad tonight. I've handed him off to my husband for a little bit. The crying is breaking my heart.

    @jilsee I hear you on the teething. I have my lo baby Tylenol a few weeks ago because I thought he was teething. When his tooth actually came out there were no pain killers. So now my dh is super anti Tylenol.

    Our LO was completely wired the night of the shots.  For now on we are doing less at a time and on Fridays only!  She got back on track a week or two later (we had a weekend trip a week later which definitely did not help)!

    Ah that's why we scheduled this one on a Friday! However, my understanding is that 6 month shots is the last "big" one. The rest are fewer and more spread out. I hope that is true!

    My baby must be weird, he slept way better than normal after the shots and he had the 1st round of the flu shot added in as well. He got his shots on Friday. The sleepy effects must have worn off because he was up again a lot last night. He will have to have the 2nd flu shot in a month and then no more shots until his 12 mo appt.

    @lizzybizzy80. I was curious about the flu shot for babies. It's summer here and we are traveling to winter. My doc doesn't have the vaccines for our next winter which is your current winter. I'm a bit worried about the flu and him not being protected from it.

    LO acted exactly like yours OP, I joked the shots demonized him haha. He was cranky and clingy for 5 whole days!!!

    @GalLaura I asked the pedi about it and she said it was ok for babies 6 months and older but needed to be given in two doses with at least 4 weeks in between the doses.
