I am officially confused on what the June birthstone is! I have seen three different ones. Either Lt. Amethyst, Alexandrite or Pearl. Does anyone know the correct answer and can set me straight?
My sister was born in June, and my family has always used Alexandrite as her birthstone. Here is one website - doesn't include the amethyst but does include moonstone. So it looks like your answer is yes - they're all correct. https://www.americangemsociety.org/june-birthstones
I am a June baby myself and, yes, all three, depending where you are looking. However, alexandrite is the most common. I prefer the pearl as purple is my least favorite color.
I think we might be going w light amethyst since hubby and I are both born in February and our birthstone is amethyst my favorite colors are purple and orange so I am all for it!!

Alexandrite, but a real one is more expensive than a diamond. They actually change colors between sun light and artificial light (varying between purple and teal). I am a june baby and got a ring for my 18th birthday along with a promise from my mother to kick my ass if I ever let anything happen to it, LOL. anyway, since they are rare/expensive I think the pearl now kind of dominates the scene.
Feb siggy challenge- SO is a twatwaffle, so here is me & DD instead
I bought my mom a pearl bracelet to announce she was becoming a grandma... if we have a girl I will probably continue to buy pearl things for her, since that's just my personal preference and passing down pearls has significance to the women in my family.
Pearls, but there are options. October is opal and also has rose quartz, I believe.
The official flower for June is the rose, so I am hoping for some rose gold jewellery as I am pretty maxed out on pearls, and they are not good for everyday wear.
I'm a Junie and it was always pearls growing up. Alexandrite is so rare and expensive that most are created in a lab. Because its so hard to come by, I believe thats when people started substituting the Amethyst. I have a dark purple Amethyst ring for that reason.
I've seen pearl and moonstone, and there's some fantastic pearl & moonstone combo jewelry out there that I'm already excited to buy for my daughter (assuming she turns out to be a girl)
This thread got me thinking, I really hope LO is a June baby. (EDD was moved to late May). My other kids are November and January. If I get some kind of mother jewelry with all three, it'll look like a traffic light. Such first world problems, I know, but still... rooting for June.
