So we have always been open to the possibility of three children. I've been pretty adamant for a while I've been done but I've always said I'd keep an open mind about it when the kids are school age. Naturally our recent dx has thrown a wrench in those plans. I know kids with asd can start off typical or closer to it and have a huge regression at some point when they lose their skills and become more severely autistic. Is there a certain age this generally happens by? If dd is still a mildly affected kiddo in the early grade school years can I assume she'll be mildly affected or at age 6, 12, etc could she have some massive regression that puts her in the more profoundly affected category?
Re: @auntie (or anyone well versed in asd)
Any kid can suffer an accident and end up severely impaired at any time. There are no guarantees.
